BRIEF update!

I promise I'll post something about our new life here in Essen/our month-long trip to the US soon!  We're doing well, but we don't have internet at the house yet, so I'm "having an orange juice" at the coffee shop today.  I've done that every day for the past week...I think they're catching on...

Short update:

Sidonie's rehearsals are going well!  She has had the most fun so far with her wig fitting - they're building wigs specific to each of the women's heads!!  She's beyond excited about that!

We're getting settled in slowly but surely.  We have gotten all but the guest room done.  Now, granted, that room contains all the things that we haven't gone through yet, but at least we've condensed them to ONE room, right? :D

I'm looking for work, and have met some very sweet friends here (through our friends Janin and Sven whom we met in HH) who are praying with us that God will bring the perfect job.  It looks like I'll have an audition some time soon for an educational English language theatre - they're doing The Glass Menagerie and are looking for a Tom (the lead for those who don't know the show.)

OK, that's all for now!  I've got to keep it on the DL that we're just here for the free DSL ;) ;)

Hugs all around!

P.S. We had a WONDERFUL time in the States, and are SO GLAD we got to see all of you we did, and hope to see the others soon!!  (Don't forget that I mentioned a GUEST ROOM!  Let us know when you're coming for a visit!! ;)

I think I missed something...what show is Sid doing in Essen? And how fabulous! And I think you'd be a great Tom!

All's well here, doing a bunch of benefits coming up, and we re-opened THE WELL OF HORNINESS (our Fringe show) at the Parliament House for 4 weekends. Doing a lot of days at Monsters, Inc, (thank heavens!) and getting ready to go back out of town for LOVE IS LOVE, a new musical revue by Martin Charnin (http://www.jupitertheatre.org/index.php?option=com_eventlist&view=details&id=71:love-is-love&Itemid=87)

And I have a dentist appointment on September 16th.

That's about all the news from here! Love to you both!

xoxo

So were you excited to get back? Or was it difficult to leave family again?

Sorry that we missed you here. Do you have any more visits scheduled in the next year or two?

Laura - Sid's doing "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" in Essen - check out her blog for all the juicy details (pleaseshinedownonme.blogspot.com) Hope all goes well with your upcoming events (esp the dentist's appointment! ;)

Kelley - It was great to be back in the States and see family and friends! It was hard to leave, but we were ready to get back into a routine of regular activities. We will definitely be back before two years passes, but we can't tell you at the moment when that will be...Do you guys plan on staying in the States for that long? Hope to see you guys soon!
